Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

PIRJ has a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work.

Detection and Screening

All submitted manuscripts are screened using professional plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate) before being sent for peer review. Manuscripts with a similarity index higher than 15-20% (excluding references) are subject to immediate rejection or dynamic evaluation handled by the editors.

Consequences of Plagiarism

  • Immediate rejection of the submitted manuscript.
  • Prohibition from submitting to PIRJ for a designated period.
  • Notification to the author's institution or funding body in severe cases.

Originality is a fundamental requirement for all submissions to PIRJ.
